GIULIVA HERITAGE

Giuliva Heritage Collection, conceived in Italy’s Campo Imperatore and launched in Paris in February 2017, had a strange start: The first collection was just six coats, all of them feminine renditions of men’s classics. Gerardo Cavaliere and Margherita Cardelli, a pair in both life and work, aim at just that: To create classic pieces of feminine prêt-à-porter using the best fabrics and manufacturing possible, based on the rules of men’s tailoring. Their sophisticated staples, designed and crafted to be beautifully durable, exude an attention with several stages of production made by hand, including fabric cutting and sewing of buttons, labels, armholes, necklines and flat fell seams. Trousers, blazers and dresses are created through a sustainable process and mainly by hand, focusing on detail and natural, outstanding materials.
