The Weeknd is Harper’s Bazaar iconic star for 2017

As everyone knows in the magazine world, the beginning of August signifies the biggest cover reveal of the year: the September issue. Harper’s Bazaar took a surprising take featuring The Weeknd and a series of A-list ladies and models for it’s latest Icons issue.

Alongside top models Adriana Lima and Irina Shayk the singer covers the magazine’s special Icons issue, which also features the likes of Miranda Lambert, Courtney Love, Karlie Kloss, Natasha Poly and Joan Smalls. In the accompanying editorial, the singer who wears Saint Laurent models alongside Candice Swanepoel and reveals his fashion inspirations.

Kimye and an army of models headline Balmain’s new campaign

Balmain continues its collaboration with fashion photographer Steven Klein, following its spring-summer 2016 campaign. For the latest collaboration Kanye West is the star of Balmain’s new campaign alongside his wife Kim Kardashian and Olivier Rousteing’s favourite models du jour. The campaign, which is shot by legendary fashion photographer Steven Klein, is about a “music fashion fusion,” according to the creative director behind the images Pascal Dangin. West wears Balmain with great frequency and in turn the designer has called him a “God.” Read more

Moschino’s Jeremy Scott is in the movie theaters with his own documentary and on the Paper and i-D magazine covers. Similarly Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing appeared on Out, Tetu and Paper. Founded by Andy Warhol, Interview magazine is celebrating the “selfie” generation as it should. Taking inspiration from fashion’s social media fixation the magazine created an Instagram-themed September issue featuring eight alternative covers with selfies of today’s extremely popular celebrities. Olivier Rousteing, Balmain’s Creative Director is fierce. After the preview of his supermodel-studded ad campaign for Spring 2015, the world’s most famous couple are on his side for the season’s menswear campaign. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are photographed by Mario Sorrenti and the full campaign will officially debut in the March 2015 issues of leading fashion magazines.  Read more
