So, who is Gary Pepper after all?

Nicole Warne grew up in Western Australia on a farm and when she was 11 her family moved to a seaside town in New South Wales where she still resides. “I’m a cliché Australian—we have, like, 18 chickens and an herb garden and it’s very relaxed. Multidimensional in her talents, Nicole is highly regarded in the fields of fashion, digital and social media, and e-commerce, collaborating with brands as a model, stylist, creative director, social media and brand consultant, digital influencer and ambassador. Presenting of course is another talent of hers as she was the host for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia Global Live Stream program in both 2013 and 2014, as well as featuring as a guest on numerous commercial television networks.

With her amazing creative skills set on high-quality content and innate eye for detail Nicole has also been featured in prestigious international publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Glamour, and Grazia, including landing her own Miss Vogue Australia cover. Yes, she was an early bloomer, one of those success stories that will give inspiration to many.

Owning her own successful company by the age of 20, Nicole lends her entrepreneurial skills and business knowledge to brands and businesses, from established global corporations to local technology start-ups. Passionate about philanthropy as well, she made history in 2012 when she became the first blogger to walk the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia. A year later she became the first blogger in the world to sign with IMG’s Talent Division which is the largest talent management agency in the world.

Her Gary Pepper launched in 2009 as a hobby to sell clothes an d now is her full-time business. “I put a lot of thought into my branding, about who the Gary Pepper Girl was. She was youthful and quirky and unique and confident, kind of based around Harajuku Girls in Japan—I’m half Japanese and I drew a lot of inspiration from a trip I took there before I started the company. I just wanted to create something positive and optimistic and colorful. I don’t believe in breeding negativity and the internet can just be a vortex of that stuff.”

After all her motto is the glass if half full. “My advice for bloggers just beginning is to have a strategy in place before launching your blog. Blogging isn’t just blogging anymore, it’s a business, and like any business you need a three-month, one-year and five-year business plan,” Nicole Warne says. “You don’t need to work harder, just smarter” added this Australian. “I secretly wish I was a Parisian,” she joked. Nobody believed her anyway.
