Inside Jennifer Aniston's dreamy Californian home

“Sexy is important, but comfort is essential” says Jennifer Aniston in her latest cover for Architectural Digest.  The actress has an an eye for design and she explained her overall design philosophy in the magazine’s latest issue.

“If I wasn’t an actress, I’d want to be a designer. I love the process” she said. “There’s something about picking out fabrics and finishes that feeds my soul”

Aniston first bought her house in 2011 for $21 million and she enlisted the help of her friend designer Stephen Shadley to find a balance between her ideas and Theroux’s. Shadley said Aniston is a fan of “wood, stone, and bronze, materials that have real substance and depth.”

The Bel Air home began its life as a 1965 A. Quincy Jones house.
